Please join us for a special screening of ‘The People There to Catch Us’ at the Stella Cinema, Rathmines, Dublin, on World Cancer Research Day, Saturday, September 24th, at 10 am with doors opening at 9:00 am. Our PI Prof. Walter Kolch of University College Dublin features in the film. A Q & A session will follow the screening.
‘The People There to Catch Us’ tells the story of Tom Hope and Rachel O’Mahony, two cancer survivors who work alongside researchers at CÚRAM and Precision Oncology Ireland (POI), to help improve the lives of others living with the disease. The documentary is produced by Ronan Cassidy of Carbonated Comet and Directed by Luke Brabazon. The film features Dr Róisín Dwyer (NUI Galway), Prof. William Gallagher (UCD Conway Institute and Co-Lead, AICRI) and Prof. Walter Kolch (POI Director, and Director of Systems Biology Ireland, UCD) all of whom are focused on personalised cancer research at Precision Oncology Ireland.
