Our Related Organisation, Digestive Cancers Europe (DiCE, https://www.digestivecancers.eu/) is the European umbrella organisation of a large group of national members representing people with digestive cancer – colorectal, gastric, pancreatic and rare cancers. Their mission is to contribute to early diagnosis and decreased mortality from digestive cancers and to increase overall survival and quality of life. They have recently launched a new website with a page featuring eight selected research projects. One of these projects is COLOSSUS. The introduction states:

“All digestive cancers are under-researched in Europe, both in relation to the actual burden of disease and in comparison, to research investments in North America and Asia. As the voice of digestive cancer patients in Europe, we also want to participate in research projects that will allow us to understand better these types of cancer and will contribute to the generation of new tools for prevention and treatment.”

This DiCE research resource includes links to websites, brochures, explainer films and lists projects’ partners. As expected, it acknowledges the funding instruments too. The other seven research projects listed are a White Paper on Research (in progress), a DiCE clinical trial database, MErCuRIC, Horizon Europe, an ongoing Oesophageal and Gastric Cancer Patient Survey,  the results of their pan-European survey of “Unmet Needs of Patients Living with Metastatic Colorectal Cancer“, and a “Single-cell Cancer Evolution in the Clinic” project.
